Carlton Cole - the upgrade
Presuming we're going to improve on our 4th choice striker, who's a good candidate?

That Sears chap might be worth a go, if Ipswich don't go up...

Anyone know anything about him?

Bamford looks like a floppy haired Chelsea cunt to me. Avoid
All out for Javier Hernandez please

If we got Ings and lost LOLton then that would relegate Carroll to 4th choice.

Liverpool are interested along with Spanish & German clubs.
And I imagine a few other Premiership clubs.

Javier Hernandez would be massive if we could grab him.

You wouldn't go for someone like Bamford as a replacement for Carlton because he looks as though he doesn't contribute anything if things aren't going his way? He's us wept, Carlton is literally a 1 in 10 player. I can't think of a single thing he's contributed since his tap in against Everton back in January. I honestly think it's a toss up between Carlton and Paul McShane for the worst player in the league, and that's no exaggeration.

Danny Ings. We should opt for him when Burnley leave the Prem.

For some reason known only to himself, Cole's also started walking like he's got a suitcase under each arm. Very noticeable on Saturday,

You don't half talk a load of shit Alex, you really do!

But these guys score goals while sometimes when contributing nothing.

Cole just contributes nothing.

I often wonder what would have happened had we kept the likes of Maynard or Baldock

Lucky that he did come back last season, as he was instrumental in keeping us up. My feeling with Cole is that he's essentially the same player now that he has been for years - a solid physical presence up front with very obvious limitations.

Where players like Rhodes and Bamford set the alarm bells ringing is when the game doesn't go their way they might be anonymous. And obviously the risk of that is greater in the Prem. Bamford had one of those games today against Watford - he literally contributed nothing.

Alex V. 3.40.

Whilst that is true none of the players have played in the prem,IMO I have no doubt whatsoever that all of the players I have mentioned are better.Cole is washed up,a spent force.I still wonder how the hell he was bought back to the club after being released. It was an act of utter desperation at the time as we failed to bring another striker in.

>>> When you look at the likes of Deeney,Rhodes, Kenwynne Jones,Bamford &Jerome they are far better than the current day Carlton.I still cant believe WBA considered buying him in January.

Hard to say that for sure, as they're all playing at a lower level.

Bamford is mustard. Highly intelligent player. Will make the grade if he leaves Chelsea

Plenty of accidents still waiting for Carroll, especially when Billie drops the sprog. You know, things like tipping the bottle steriliser on his head, or testing the baby's bath water with his head for a joke and then slipping on the wet floor. That sort of thing.

A layer up front is certainly a new concept.

Could work against the Bantams, Bradford City, I suppose.

I agree .
but he needs to play a role which doesn't put him at risk
